Horizon Completes New Restaurant Concept for Truett Cathy

In 2013, Horizon was approached by Chick-fil-A about a new restaurant concept by none other than Truett Cathy. Mr. Cathy’s dream was to open a Hawaiian-themed restaurant that would be family friendly and offer the great food and excellent service that Chick-fil-A is known for.  The project would involve a complex renovation of an existing structure with a fast-track schedule.  Horizon was honored to accept the role as general contractor and serve Chick-fil-A and the Cathy family on this project.

The restaurant is named Truett’s Luau and it is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.  Some of the highlights of the project are indoor water features, planters filled with beautiful tropical plants, tiki huts, spacious skylights, beautiful wood trim details, and a 3,000+ SF state-of-the-art kitchen.

We are so thankful for the amazing team of designers and vendors that helped make this project such a success.  We celebrated the grand opening together with an authentic Hawaiian luau and Mr. Cathy admitted that the finished product exceeded even his expectations.
